The construction industry
has been challenged by design engineers and end users alike to meet a
higher standard of quality and durability of pavements. Flex-Tech Resources
Ltd. is ready to accept that challenge by providing alternative pavement
solutions. By incorporating existing in-place materials and cutting-edge
technology, a recycled pavement base can be created providing a
long-lasting foundation for the new pavement surface.

Our Company was formed to
respond to the growing concern of deteriorating pavements in our region.
Our goal is to recycle existing pavements in place and produce a stabilized
base-course without the added costs of total removal and replacement.
While foamed asphalt may
be a relatively new concept in our region, the process has been performed
on many projects in the U.S., Europe, and many other countries. Flex-Tech
Resources Ltd. does not hold any proprietary or territorial contracts to
perform this process, only the enthusiasm to bring this process to the Ohio
region.
Let Flex-Tech show you
how we can process your exsiting pavement
structure with a form asphalt process that
produces a high-quality, cost-efficient base course using liquid asphalt
cement without additives or reprocessing.
Flex-Tech can also
provide additional stabilized base solutions including emulsion
applications and soil modifications to meet even the most challenging site
conditions.
Each project is
designed and built right the first time.

About Alternative
Pavement Techniques
What is foamed
asphalt?
Foamed or
'expanded' asphalt is a full-depth, in-place recycling method utilizing
liquid asphalt cement and a precisely injected amount of cold water to
produce a foam or 'expanded' binder mixture. This
binder increases the surface area for bonding with fine aggregates and is
incorporated with the existing pulverized aggregates and completely
blended. The resulting mix is graded and compacted.
Why foamed asphalt?
Foaming
increases the surface area of the asphalt cement considerably and reduces
viscosity, making it well suited for mixing with cold aggregates. Foamed
asphalt cement can be used with a variety of materials, ranging from
conventional high-quality graded materials to recycled pavements.
While foamed asphalt may
be relatively new to the Ohio area, the process has been performed
successfully on other projects in the U.S., Europe, and many other countries.
Flex-Tech Resources Ltd. does not hold any proprietary or terretorial contracts to perform this process, only the
enthusiasm to bring it to Ohio and beyond.
What are the
environmental advantages of foam asphalt?
Recycling of in-place existing aggregates and pavements reduces the cost of
raw materials and natural resources. Utilizing products in-place also
reduces energy costs for production and transportation, and reduces the
cost of heating asphalt, since the process doesn't uses far less heat than
traditional paving. Environmental side effects of evaporation of volatiles
are also avoided.
